On July iii, 2018, Rogen criticized Twitter and its CEO Jack Dorsey, claiming he had a "bizarre need to verify white supremacists".[141] Variety reported that he was "directly in touch" with Dorsey over the issue.[142] Several media outlets, including Fortune,[143] speculated that Rogen was referring to alt-right effigy Jason Kessler, and the Proud Boys in particular.[144] [145]

Rogen is a supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement.[146]

Views on Israel

During his July 2020 promotional tour for his one-act, An American Pickle, Rogen said he was "fed a huge amount of lies about Israel" growing upward, commenting: "They never tell you that, 'Oh, by the way, there were people there'. They make it seem like it was only like sitting there, like the fucking door's open up."

Rogen has said that he believes antisemitism has remained pervasive and prevalent, just too spoke to the importance of a stiff Jewish diaspora, "You don't keep something you're trying to preserve all in one place."[147] Rogen later expanded on his comments, stating in an interview: "I recollect that it'due south a catchy conversation to accept in jest. And that's something that perhaps I now expect at and say, 'Oh, at present that we joked about that, perhaps we could clarify some things so people don't run around thinking that I think Israel shouldn't exist anymore.' And I'grand sensitive to Jewish people being hurt, as a Jewish person. And I'm sensitive to Jewish people thinking I'm not a proud Jewish person, which I am. Truthfully, I think my pride in being Jewish and how deeply I identify every bit a Jewish person perhaps made me feel like I was able to say things without as much context as perhaps I should requite them – you lot know what I'g saying? And I am sensitive to Jews thinking that I don't recall State of israel should not exist [sic], and that there are a lot of Jewish people who are live who wouldn't be without Israel. And my parents met in Israel; I've been to State of israel several times."[148]

Personal life

Rogen began dating author/actress Lauren Miller in 2004. The 2 met while he was working on Da Ali G Show.[22] The couple became engaged on September 29, 2010,[149] and married on Oct two, 2011, in Sonoma County, California.[150] Miller has had modest on-screen roles in a few of Rogen's films.[151] They have stated they practise not programme to have children.[152]

Rogen has created a cannabis brand in the urban center of Toronto, Ontario, with his friend Evan Goldberg.[153] Subsequently attending pottery classes with his wife in 2017, he began making ceramics.[154] He cites creative person Kenneth Cost as an inspiration.[155] [156]

In Jan 2021, Rogen revealed on Twitter that he has balmy Tourette syndrome, which runs in his family.[157]
