Scary experience

We bought this food thinking that it was great since they got rid of the Blue Buffalo standard car food. When we went to open it, we noticed a horrible smell, of a dead animal or rotting meat. We also noticed tons of tiny bugs in the case of food. It was supposed to expire in May of 2024. I do not recommend Blue Buffalo to anyone now.
Not the same as the old food

I clicked on an old order for food my cats really like. This came up and after comparing as best I could, figured this was same product with updated packaging. It isn't. It's much wetter than other pate's and the one I thought it was replacing. And unfortunately my cats won't touch it. I'll try again, but since they both turned away, i'm not hopeful. i think it's probably a fine food, just not the same as the one it seemingly replaced on the website.
New Favorite for Midnight

Our Midnight is a somewhat picky eater. He only eats pate. Blue Buffalo Tastefuls Is something that he loves and so does his brother Tiger (who is on a prescription diet) when he can steal a few licks. I would recommend this product and see if you agree.
Decent Food

This is a decent food and is affordably priced. My cats unfortunately don't love it but they will eventually eat some of it. My cats only get canned food and are extremely picky. So he am happy that this is at least somewhat acceptable to them.

The texture of this pate is very smooth and well-blended. Have seen some other brands with a hockey puck floating juice, or gravy only on the bottom and the pate itself just not as moist. Tastefuls pleases my gravy lover because it is very soft, and everyone has an easy time with it. They seem to like it and polish their plates. It does smell stronger than some brands, but it is certainly not stinky nor the stinkiest we've tried. One can was broken open and had to be tossed out, but the rest were sealed tight and good to go. Seems to be a good option that's easy on the budget, and the 5.5 oz size is great for a multi-cat family.

My 20 year old cat loves this food. Probably the only cat in the universe that won't even look at Tuna, Salmon, or anything similar to fish. She's very finicky and it took a long time to find something that she liked. But I don't have to search anymore..!!!..

So I decided to try this as the ingredients looked good, the price was right, and the reviews seemed to be split 50/50. My cats were hesitant at first as it was a new food, but now 4 out of my 5 cats really like it. If you know cats, getting them to agree on any food is almost impossible, so I think this food is a keeper. I figured 5 cats and 5 stars....hence my 4 star rating.
Okay... if you can stand the smell

This was the replacement for Healthy Gourmet. It is mushy compared to the pate of Healthy Gourmet. However kitty loved it and gobbled it down. BUT... the smell is awful. It's hard to describe but it's kind of a crossover of canned Tuna and spoiled food. Kitty ate it for several months before Dad said it smelled so bad that we needed to find a different food for her. We donated a full case and purchased another brand. It REALLY STINKS!

This is what my five cats want to eat every day. One of my cats had to have most of his teeth pulled and he enjoys eating this food. The texture is smooth so it is easier to eat.

I just tried this recently and so far it's a big hit with all my cats. I saw someone's review that said it's stinky but - to me - it smells yummy! The most important thing is that the cats like it. I like the mushier consistency too, it's easier for them to eat.
